World Health Day on 7 April 2024

World Health Day 2024 is all about "My health, my right". ESCMID believes in the right of everyone, everywhere to have access to quality health services, education, information, and freedom from discrimination among other important aspects.

To this end we are sharing for free our Pre-ECCMID Day Hands-on Workshop addressing the diagnostics of STIs. Accessible with a free ESCMID account in the ESCMID eLibrary, you can watch this educational workshop exploring the implementation of molecular diagnostics pertaining to these types of infections.

Register now for the Summer School 2024

The 22nd ESCMID Summer School will take place on 29 June - 6 July 2024, in Utrecht, the Netherlands. The programme covers a broad range of topics in CM & ID and will interest young MDs at the end of their specialty training as well as biologists, pharmacists, Ph.D. students, and postdoctoral fellows working in the infection field. The preliminary programme is available, and the School is accredited for CME points by EACCME.

Deadline extended: 2024 Call for ESCMID Guidelines projects

The ESCMID Guidelines Subcommittee invites ESCMID members and ESCMID Study Groups to submit proposals for clinical practice guidelines projects in the following topics:

  • Infection control and ICU standard procedures to reduce VAP
  • Diagnosis and treatment of endovascular graft infections
  • Diagnosis and treatment of Q fever
Topics for guidelines are here intended as broad areas, where the applicant is expected to propose scope and focus, balancing feasibility and comprehensiveness.

The deadline for your submissions has been extended to 12 May 2024.
