We are hosting a meet and greet with our Editors-in-Chief of ESCMID official Journals CMI and CMI Communications, Leonard Leibovici and Angela Huttner. Join us out on the terrace next to the ESCMID TV studio in Hall 8.1 from 14:30 - 16:00 CEST to meet and discuss the future of ESCMID’s Journals and innovations in publications. You won’t want to miss the talks from the winners of the prestigious ESCMID Awards. Lifetime Achievements winner Evelina Tacconelli will receive her award during the Opening Ceremony in Hall A. The four Young Investigator awardees and the new Emerging Young Investigator awardee will present their fascinating research in Hall B from 11:00 - 12:00 CEST.

The "Year in.." sessions are very well-attended 1-hour Symposia during which two speakers present a common review of the recent literature on the topic. ESCMID Global 2024 will feature 4 "Year in.." sessions: Infectious Diseases, Clinical Microbiology, Infection Control and Public Health. First session will be in Hall A from 13:30 - 14:30 CEST.

Don’t miss the essential EUCAST Educational Workshop taking place in Hall F from 8:30 - 11:30 CEST. This session put on by the EUCAST Steering Committee will describe the main breakpoint and method changes implemented during last year, and some of the rationale for the decisions that were made will be shared and discussed.

Join the Trainee Association of ESCMID at the TAE Day, which takes place from 13:00 - 17:00 CEST in the Moche Room. Different ESCMID opportunities will be presented, followed by the TAE Awards. Then, participants will talk about specialised topics with the same table moderators, in addition to the general discussion. Tables are fully booked but there’s a waiting list onsite in case of last-minute cancellations.
