ESCMID Summer School, Utrecht
29 June - 6 July 2024: register now!

Registration is now open for the ESCMID Summer School, one of the highlights of the ESCMID education portfolio. This one-week course is dedicated to postgraduate and continuing medical education, covering a broad range of topics in CM & ID.


The event will interest young MDs at the end of their specialty training as well as biologists, pharmacists, Ph.D. students, and postdoctoral fellows working in the infection field.


The Summer School is accredited with 30 European CME credits - grants are also available!

Workshop on using data science and machine learning for infection science

Seize the future at ECCMID 2024: join our special side event on machine learning! The intended learning outcomes at the workshop include:

  • Understanding the 'end-to-end' lifecycle of a machine learning system

The Trinity Challenge £1 million prize to tackle AMR in low- and middle-income countries

A new innovation competition with a grand prize of up to £1 million is currently accepting submissions. The Trinity Challenge on Antimicrobial Resistance is specifically calling for data-driven solutions focussed on low- and middle-income countries to help mitigate the global crisis of antimicrobial resistance.
