Pre-ECCMID high-level event on global AMR strategy

After the impactful event of 2023, ESCMID and the Global Leaders Group (GLG) on Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) will again co-host, one day before ECCMID 2024, a high-level symposium to bridge the gap between science and policy and to delve into strategic AMR issues. The GLG symposium will be preceded by an ESCMID session on the importance of diagnostics in AMR. This event is free of charge!

ESCMID Women in Science Day 2024

The International Day of Women and Girls in Science is an annual observance adopted by the United Nations General Assembly to promote the full and equal access and participation of women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. This year ESCMID caught up with some of the prominent female figures in our community, including award winners and Study Group leaders as well as upcoming Executive Committee members and our President Annelies Zinkernagel.

The course will focus on helping the antimicrobial stewardship (AMS) provider to recognise the problems that must be addressed in LTCFs and to solve them by organising appropriate structures, interventions and monitoring.
