High-level AMR event forging partnerships between science and policy

Check out the scientific programme of this free-to-join pre-ECCMID event on Friday, 26 April 2024.

This high-level event is intended to position research, science and implementation into the political agenda of AMR and address the pressing needs of AMR across all sectors. It is a critical time for this discussion and alignment leading up to the United Nations General Assembly High-level Meeting on AMR to be held in September 2024 in New York, USA.

Join ESCMID leading bodies in two open calls for Subcommittee members

On behalf of the ESCMID Executive Committee, we are pleased to announce an open call for one new member of the Professional Affairs Subcommittee (ID specialist) and one for the Guidelines Subcommittee. The officer's term is from April 2024 to April 2028 (after ECCMID).

Deadline to apply is 9 April 2024.

Update your knowledge about leprosy

With this course, participants will learn more and celebrate the discovery of leprosy bacillus 150 years ago by Dr. Armauer Hansen in Bergen, leading to a better understanding of the transmission of this old disease and how we may interrupt it with new tools; update their knowledge about leprosy, a disease now considered as a neglected tropical disease, but which is still seen throughout the world.

Public consultation phase for ESCMID guidelines will close in one week

One week left to contribute to a public consultation phase for a guideline on Antimicrobial Stewardship in the Emergency Department. This procedure has the dual aim of ensuring that ESCMID scientific standards are adequately met, and that the position of ESCMID as a whole is represented.

The deadline to provide feedback and comments is 26 March 2024.

The call for 2024 ECDC Observership is opening on 16 April 2024

The new call for the ECDC Observership will be opened from 16 April to 15 May 2024. The observership period is set for 14 to 18 October 2024. A group of 20 observers are offered a 5-day programme at the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) in Solna, Stockholm County, Sweden.
