New GLG report on policy recommendations for discussion at the upcoming UNGA AMR High level Meeting
|
The GLG report calls for improving new and existing financial commitments, the formation of an Independent Panel on Evidence for Action against AMR by 2025, strengthen country level AMR structures including data and surveillance programs, implement new strategies to prevent infections including IPC, WASH, and vaccination to ensure equitable access to antimicrobials and diagnostics.
The GLG also proposes specific global targets in humans to catalyse action at the national level to reduce global deaths caused by bacterial AMR by 10 % and access group antibiotics comprise at least 80 % of overall human antibiotic consumption all by 2030.

2024 Call for ESCMID Guidelines projects
|
The ESCMID Guidelines Subcommittee invites ESCMID members and ESCMID Study Groups to submit proposals for clinical practice guidelines projects in the following topics:
- Infection control and ICU standard procedures to reduce VAP
- Diagnosis and treatment of endovascular graft infections
- Diagnosis and treatment of Q fever
Topics for guidelines are here intended as broad areas, where the applicant is expected to propose scope and focus, balancing feasibility and comprehensiveness.
Deadline for submitting proposal is 12 May 2024.
