Call for Individual Research Grant opening soon

The grants & awards season is unfolding - the call for the Individual Research Grant will open in two weeks on 20 June 2024.

 

ESCMID research grants help in nurturing the next generation of researchers starting out in CM and ID, marking an important start in their journey of research funding. These grants offer a unique opportunity to explore Bacterial Infections & Diseases during even years and Fungal/Viral/Parasitic Infections & Diseases during odd years.

To facilitate professional development, ESCMID encourages mentorship. Our mentors sit within the ESCMID Mentorship Centre (EMC), offering support and guidance to their mentees. Through this programme, our objective is to give ESCMID members a unique opportunity to meet skilled professionals in their field, gaining valuable insight into research and career development. Applications are open throughout the year.

During ESCMID Global 2024, we celebrated the graduation of trainees from the third EUCIC Certificate cohort and the inaugural AMS Certificate cohort.

 

These dedicated professionals have completed rigorous training programmes, enhancing their skills and knowledge in infection prevention, control, and antimicrobial stewardship. EUCIC graduates are now well-equipped to implement effective infection control measures, while AMS graduates are ready to lead efforts in optimising antimicrobial use and combating resistance.

Submit your case for the Clinical Grand Round session at ID Week 2024

Co-organised with the Infectious Disease Society of America (IDSA), this very popular session pits the wits of six internationally renowned physicians against seven difficult clinical cases involving patients with infectious diseases.

 

You can now submit your case to be presented and discussed at the IDSA congress, ID Week, from 16 - 19 October 2024: send an e-mail to eccmidinfo@escmid.org by 29 June 2024, and present your case in an A4 sheet.
