ESCMID and IDSA publish joint AMR white paper before UNGA meeting

The 79th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) has convened in New York City, where world leaders will address urgent, global crises and conflicts, antimicrobial resistance (AMR) being one of them. Before the AMR high-level meeting on 26 September, the Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA) and ESCMID, representing thousands of physicians, scientists, and other health care providers, have released this joint statement calling for bold targets and organised action against AMR across human, animal, agricultural and environmental sectors.
