ESCMID Women in Science

ESCMID Celebrates the 10th edition of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science by sitting down with two important leaders within ESCMID. Giulia De Angelis is the Associate Programme Director for ESCMID Global and Angela Huttner is the Editor-in-Chief of the new ESCMID journal, CMI Communications. They give their personal views on the importance of equality in scientific publishing and how it enriches our congress.

Submit your late-breaking research to ESCMID Global

The submission period for late-breaking abstracts for ESCMID Global 2025 is closing soon on 14 February 2025. Late-breaking Abstracts must pertain to new data that has not been published and was generated after regular abstracts submission was closed. For this year, we will exclusively consider abstracts falling within the following categories: New drugs and vaccines, Clinical trials, New and emerging pathogens, or Outbreaks and public health emergencies.

Join in the next ESCMID Guidelines course in Rome

The yearly ESCMID course on systematic reviews, meta-analyses and the GRADE approach for guidelines development will be held in Rome, Italy, 19-22 May 2025. The course is a mix of interactive lectures and practical exercises and is intended for junior clinicians and researchers. The course is free of charge, but attendance requires submitting an application for review before the deadline of 26 February 2025.
