The wait is over - ESCMID Global 2025 kicks off this week! Here’s how to prepare for a smooth experience:

 

✅ Download the app - ESCMID Global 2025 is now available in the app stores.
💧Bring your own water bottle - Over 70 water dispensers are available throughout the venue.

🕓 Plan ahead for registration - Saturday is especially busy! Arrive early and bring your barcode (sent 10 days before the congress) for quick badge printing. Alternatively, you can also use 'registration QR code' in the mobile app.

🧪 Book your seat for the Mobile Lab - There’s limited space still available!

🎉 Join the Opening Ceremony - Saturday, 12 April at 18:30 in Hall 1

Mobile lab: A hands-on microscopy training comes to ESCMID Global

Take advantage of this hands-on training at ESCMID Global 2025 with the ESCMID Mobile Lab, stationed right in the heart of the congress! Organised by Claire Rogers from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, you will have the chance to explore the world of parasitology, examining diseases like malaria and other parasites from real patient samples.

These sessions are limited to small groups so pre-registration is needed.

Join us for the exciting & suspenseful quiz show: Selective Pressure

The ESCMID Global quiz show is back again in 2025! Groups of four will battle it out answering questions in all areas of clinical microbiology and infectious diseases aiming to win the grand prize and take home the trophy.

All congress attendees are welcome to attend. It will be an interactive, educational and entertaining experience with Jesús Rodriguez-Baño moderating. The session takes place on Sunday, 13 April from 13:30 to 15:30 CEST in Hall 1.

The landscape of treating drug-resistant tuberculosis (TB) is evolving rapidly with new drugs and regimens. However, the diagnostic pipeline is struggling to keep pace. The World Health Organization (WHO) has recently endorsed targeted Next Generation Sequencing (tNGS) as a molecular tool for obtaining rapid genotypic data to guide clinical management. Open call for guidelines projects proposals until the end of May

The ESCMID Guidelines Subcommittee invites ESCMID members and ESCMID Study Groups to submit proposals for clinical practice guidelines projects. Check out the topics on the webpage. The deadline for project submissions is 30 May 2025.

The ESCMID Guidelines Director, Luigia Scudeller, will be presenting the call at ESCMID Global on Monday, 14 April, 12:15 - 13:15 CEST, Arena 1 (Hall D). Come with your questions!
