An Andes hantavirus outbreak aboard the MV Hondius cruise ship has resulted in multiple cases and three deaths, prompting daily updates. A multijurisdictional measles outbreak in Canada has exceeded 650 cases in 2026, while Mexico has reported 10,460 cases and 13 deaths. Meanwhile, local measles transmission has been confirmed in Arizona, with 14 cases. Bangladesh recorded its highest single-day measles death toll with 17 fatalities alongside over 1,300 new cases. Additionally, a fatal confirmed diphtheria case in a five-year-old child was reported in Dili Municipality, Timor-Leste. In Africa, a meningitis outbreak in Sokoto State, Nigeria, has caused 34 deaths among 254 suspected cases.
