Submit your cases for Clinical Grand Rounds

We extended the deadline to submit your cases for the ESCMID/IDSA Clinical Grand Rounds at IDWeek taking place this October. The new deadline is 06 July. Young scientist members are invited to submit a short abstract including a case description, up to three figures, and a brief PowerPoint presentation outlining the case to the ESCMID Office for review at science[at]escmid.org.

Bundibugyo Ebola virus outbreak in eastern DRC and Uganda has caused over 1,000 cases and 250 deaths, complicated by a lack of approved vaccines and community resistance. Mpox transmission remains active globally, with Madagascar reporting 2,000 confirmed clade Ib cases, while European surveillance notes hundreds of clade I and clade II cases over the past year. A multi-country Salmonella bovismorbificans ST377 outbreak linked to alfalfa sprouts across Europe. Yellow fever activity continues in the Americas and Africa. In Spain, a seasonal Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever case was reported. Elsewhere, Bangladesh recorded 97k suspected measles cases. WHO provides an update of the previously reported Nipah virus case in Kerala.
